Concussion & vestibular
Concussion recovery, dizziness and vertigo — the two things most clinics send you elsewhere for, treated here.

When your head’s not right, nothing is. No two cases run the same way.
The lingering concussion
Weeks past the hit and the fog, headaches or screen intolerance haven’t cleared.
Dizziness
Rooms that spin when you roll over in bed, look up, or bend down.
Motion sensitivity
Cars, crowds, scrolling — movement in the world makes you queasy.
Headaches that start at the neck
A headache that creeps from the base of the skull up behind the eye.
An athlete waiting to return
Cleared of the scary stuff, but not yet ready for practice — and no plan to get there.
If one of these is yours, you're in the right place. If your case is different, tell us — we'll say honestly whether we're the right fit.
Find what's driving it. Treat it. Load it so it holds.
An assessment, not a template
A careful assessment of the systems involved — vestibular, visual, neck, and exertion tolerance — to find what's actually driving your symptoms.
Treatment that works
Targeted treatment for what the exam finds: vestibular retraining, hands-on work for the neck, and a graded return to exertion at an intensity you agree to.
Education and support
You leave understanding your symptoms and the plan — including, for athletes, the criteria for getting back to practice — with a home program that comes to you.
We measure where measuring helps. Force plates, dynamometry and gait analysis mean the decision to progress you — or hold you back — comes from a number rather than an impression.

“Individual one-on-one support. She listens to my progress and adjusts my plan accordingly.”
Sooooo grateful I found them.
After many frustrating years of injuries and working with multiple physical therapists, I finally found Kauno — and now I'm able to walk, run and live my life without constant pain.
What each visit will cost you — copay, deductible, out-of-network or self-pay.
A written estimate if you're paying out of pocket — per visit and for the likely course of care.
Whether your HSA, FSA or HRA dollars apply — confirmed before you book.
From the blog
Do you treat dizziness that isn’t from a concussion?
Yes — vestibular problems like positional vertigo are part of what we assess and treat, whether or not a head injury started it.
Do I need an MRI or a referral first?
No to both. California is a direct-access state, and the exam — not imaging — drives treatment. If you already have imaging, bring the report and we’ll tell you what the words actually mean for you.
I’m an athlete. Can you get me back to my sport?
That’s the goal of the graded plan — a stepwise return to exertion and sport, with clear criteria at each stage. Whether we’re the right fit for your case comes out of the first conversation.
