A plan built for you, and explained until it makes sense.

You should know why you are doing it.
About Claudio
Claudio blends a warm, empathetic approach with strong foundations in exercise and movement analysis to build a care plan that is unique to each individual.
He believes in the power of patient education, so he makes sure you understand the rationale behind your recovery — the tools and the confidence to stay healthy long after rehab ends. He trained across outpatient orthopedics, acute care and a full pediatric caseload at Rady Children’s, and still teaches: he runs the peer anatomy elective for first-year doctoral students at UCSF. Outside the clinic he trains calisthenics, plays volleyball, paddles outrigger canoes on the bay and runs in Golden Gate Park.
Every visit at Kauno is one-on-one with your therapist. No aides, no doubling up, no being handed a sheet of exercises and left in a corner.
What a first visit looks like
- 01One-on-one from the start, beginning with what you’re trying to get back to.
- 02A movement assessment — we find what actually reproduces the symptom.
- 03Hands-on treatment plus your first loading work, done the same visit.
- 04You leave with a plan, an honest timeline, and two or three things to do.

Book training with Claudio →What patients say about Claudio
I came in barely able to jog and left running again. Claudio explained every step of the plan, so I understood exactly what we were doing and why it was working.
“He took the time to explain what was causing the pain, not just what to do about it. Six weeks in and I am back to lifting without thinking about it.”
“Patient, thorough, and genuinely good with my teenager — she actually did the exercises, which is saying something.”
Outpatient, acute care and pediatrics.
