Post-Op Run Club
A beginner-friendly run club for getting back into running after injury — or starting for the first time.
See this week's locationYou don't have to be a runner.
Most of us weren't.
This started because our patients kept asking the same thing at the end of rehab: okay — so how do I actually start running again?
Showing up alone is the hard part. Nobody here is timing you, and there's always someone at the back.
Every Tuesday has the same shape.
Find the group at that week's spot. Say hi — one of us will find you if you're new.
Ten minutes of the same prep we'd give you in the clinic. Skipping it is how people get hurt.
Go at whatever pace lets you hold a conversation. Walking any part of it is normal.
Stretch, talk, ask us the question you've been meaning to ask a PT.

They lead the stretch, make sure everyone is comfortable at their own pace, and run it with you.
Ask them about form or building your mileage back — it's the part they like most.
Everything people ask before their first Tuesday.
No sign-up, no pace requirement, no gear list. Show up once and see if it's your thing — and if something's not covered here, ask us.
How far do you go?
Far enough that everyone finishes, short enough that everyone can. Walk as much of it as you want — nobody is tracking it.
I'm slow. Will I get dropped?
No. One of the hosts stays at the back every week, so the back of the group is a real place to be, not a problem.
I don't know anybody.
Neither did most people on their first Tuesday. Tell a host it's your first one and they'll introduce you.
Do I need to be cleared to run?
If you're mid-rehab, check with your PT or surgeon first. If you're not sure, come anyway and walk it — then ask us.
What should I bring?
Shoes you can move in and water. That's it.
Is it free?
Yes. You don't have to be a Kauno patient, and there's nothing to buy.
The location changes every week.
Each week's meeting spot is posted on the run club page — RSVP once and it comes to your inbox before every run.
